Since I am Irish, St Patrick’s Day Snacks are a MUST in our home. It’s such a FUN holiday.

 St. Patrick's day snacks

This is one of my children’s favorite St. Patrick’s day snack. You can change it up to meet your family’s needs. It’s FUN to eat after being creative and writing a cute story or learning about the Trinity. You can even serve this snack while playing St. Patrick’s Day Bingo.

Ingredients

  • 4 c of Lucky Charms (I use the chocolate)
  • 2 c of Rice Cereal
  • 1 c of pretzels, broken
  • 3/4 c of almonds
  • 1/2 c of brown sugar
  • 1/4 c of butter
  • 2 T of corn syrup
  • 1/4 t of baking soda

Directions

Mix the cereals, pretzels and almonds in a large bowl. Heat on medium heat butter, brown sugar, corn syrup in a small pot on stove. Once heated, add baking soda and stir mixture. Pour on top of cereal mixture and stir well. Heat in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes and stirring every 30 seconds. Place on wax paper and cool.

You can either store in zip locked baggie or a bowl with lid.

It’s really simple and the kids love it!
