POCKETS of TIME, is a sequential activity that helps a child’s comprehension of the chapter that they just read. Pockets of Time is a collection of flashcards, 4-8 for every chapter, each with a color code.

The placement of these flashcards into the pocket must be in sequential order, to show that the reader understood the timeline in that chapter. Using the color method, all the teacher/parent must do to check the child’s comprehension is observe the order of color. Use with older children as an accountability for their reading, or with younger children to learn to follow a timeline of events within a book.
