blessed beyond a doubt affiliate disclosure2 I absolutely adore chocolate mousse. It’s one of those desserts that I get when we go out to an expensive dinner. In all honesty, since becoming a single mom, we rarely go out to eat to a fancy place. Unless of course, you call Taco Bell fancy.

My favorite chocolate mousse recipe. It's so easy too!

So I decided to make my own chocolate mousse at home. It was so easy that it just might be my new favorite dessert recipe. It was totally creamy and fluffy like the restaurant style chocolate mousse.

It was the bomb!

Needless to say, there was not a lick left when I got back from folding the laundry.  I was able to scrape the mixing bowl, so I was not totally eliminated.

How to make the Best Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c of water
  • 3.9 oz of chocolate pudding, instant
  • 8 oz cool whip, thawed
  • strawberries for garnish (optional)

Directions

Whisk together the condensed milk, water, and pudding in a large mixing bowl.  Add pudding mix and mix well. Place bowl in refrigerator for about 10 minutes to chill. Fold in 2 cups of cool whip into the pudding mix. Mix well until blended. Chill until serving time. Pour mousse into individual serving dishes, garnish with strawberries and a dollop of cool whip.

Make 4 servings.

This easy chocolate mousse is right up there with the divine no bake cheesecake cups. They both are very rich and so easy to make for your gang.
