Need an easy appetizer for your next gathering? I’ve got you covered. I whipped up this easy shrimp cocktail dip recipe last weekend for a party we attended. The crowd gobbled it up. It was definitely a hit.

I wanted to bring something that wasn’t the norm but easy. I was in the mood for shrimp cocktail and didn’t want to bring a simple shrimp cocktail platter.

It taste identical to shrimp cocktail. You can make it spicier with extra spicy cocktail sauce, but I was trying to keep kid-friendly.

I served it with wheat thins, but you can simply use whatever crackers suit your fancy.

EASY Shrimp Cocktail Dip

If you love shrimp cocktail, you'll adore this savory shrimp cocktail dip that you can whip up in minutes.

Course Appetizer

  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonaise
  • 2 4 1/2 oz cans Bay shrimp
  • 1 cup cocktail sauce

  1. Mix all ingredients with a whisk in a large mixing bowl

  2. Let cool in refrigerator one hour before serving

  3. Garnish with green onions(optional)

  4. Serve with your favorite crackers

It’s really so easy to make. It makes plenty for a crowd so I didn’t feel the need to double it. I’m not so sure how long it will keep in the refrigerator because we never have any leftover.

TIP: Make sure you allow the cream cheese to completely soften before mixing in the rest of the ingredients.
