Bible/Devotion ~

I am continuing reading my daily bible plan. Also, I want to spend time in prayer of thanksgiving for all the blessings God has blessed our family this year. We are so highly favored. I bought a journal last week for our new Thanksgiving Journal tradition. Also, I am reading The Mother at Home.

Things I plan on doing…

No School ~ yipee! We need a break!

Home Blessing Tuesday, plan for Zeke’s Boys 3rd b-day party, Christmas Photos, catch up on laundry, work on planning Christmas, Sew, and lots of baking. I’m not working on my Zone 4 this week since I need to do a general spot cleaning for the party on Saturday.

Train ‘Em Up~

Viewing this with the boys.. Investigating the First Thanksgiving ~ so very cool!

We have been lacking on enforcing the boys’ chores. I must organize their chore charts and start implementing this plan this week, and we are baking for our neighbors this week to show our appreciation and love. We don’t know our neighbors well and haven’t shown our Christian love towards them simply for the very fact that they live a different lifestyle than we do. I am ashamed to admit it, but this was the boys idea not mine. I don’t mean that we have been rude, but we just haven’t made it a point to get to know them. So, we will bake them some cookies and write them a little note.

Menu Plan ~

I am just going to post the extra things that I will be making this week. Most of my recipes are from the Goosepatch Christmas Cookbook that I won a couple of weeks ago at Keno.

Buttery Dinner Rolls

Chewy Almond -Fudge Bar

Aunt Neal’s old Fashioned Tea Cakes

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

Homemade Bread

Thanks Karla for hosting Gobble Gobble with tons of Turkey Day recipes, ideas, and menus.

I hope you all have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving. Visit Tiany to see what other Christian homemakers are planning for this busy week.
