As Ash Wednesday has just passed and we are now in the season of Lent, I decided to make an Easter Story printable and coloring pages for your children to enjoy. The true story of Easter is told in the Bible, but I thought that it would be nice to create a Bible story about  Jesus’ resurrection for kids.

Easter is one of my favorite times of the year. Not only does it mark the arrival of spring and new life, but it is such a spiritual time to reflect on Jesus’ resurrection and how He gave Himself on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. A time to remember Jesus loves us!

Christian children always look forward to Easter because they get to color and decorate Easter eggs and go on Easter egg hunts. Kids of all ages look forward to the coming of the Easter Bunny who leaves the colorful Easter baskets on Easter morning full of plastic Easter eggs, candy, and presents.

However, we should teach our children about the true Easter story. Therefore, I am sharing this simple Easter Story printable for you to read with your children to teach them about what Easter is really about. The story starts with Jesus‘ arrival in Jerusalem and tells the story of His time with His disciples leading up to his crucifixion and resurrection.

Each page contains pictures that your children can color, and there are also two Easter coloring pages at the end of the story. Your children will enjoy getting out their crayons or colored pencils to color these pictures.
