I have to admit I was a bit skeptical with the title. We are very sensitive when it comes to anything that has the word magic in it. I watched the The Magic Schoolbus: All About Earth with my children and did not find any mention of evolution. The children and Ms. Fizzle go on field trip and the bus imaginary takes them to the designated location. My children were well aware that this was imaginary. However, if you do not allow your children to watch any type of imaginary movies, this DVD would not be a good fit for your family.
My children found this DVD very informative and interesting. It was a hit! There are 4 episodes on the topics of Seeds, Volcanoes, Air Pressure, and a bonus episode, on deserts.

Some Magic Schoolbus videos do have the evolutionary thrust. I like the ones that don’t- very educational. But you just have to watch out for it. Same with the books. We have a whole set, but sometimes it pops up in the reading.
