Have you ever inquired why God chose you? I often have asked myself what God would want or could possibly do with a SAHM who continues to stumble everyday. This morning the Holy Spirit amplified my question. God’s reason why he desires me to live here on earth another day was lucid to me after meditating on the following scripture this morning.

You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.  Isaiah 43:10

He desires me to do the following things:

1. Know Him

2. Believe in Him

3. Understand Him

So, I was brainstorming on ways that I could know, believe, and understand Him more. The first most imperative way is to spend time in God’s word. How do you get to know someone better? Of course, by talking and spending time with them. I must allow God to speak to me through his Word everyday. Also, by seeking Him through prayer. I have to admit I do honestly believe God’s Word is true but often the secular world out there seems easier to grasp. Going against the secular world is harrowing to me. Which leads to the next item God desires from us ~ to understand Him. This one threw me for a loop until I really engulfed in what it means to understand God. I can’t fathom all His glorious works BUT I can comprehend He knows whats golden for me. I might not fully grasp or agree with the stones He puts in my path: However, He knows what I can handle on my plate. Admittedly, I beg to differ at times with my sweet but ornery two-year old. LOL! But I have Jesus to hold my hand and carry me along this rocky road here on His creation.

Today I am opening my bible to Isaiah 43:10-13 and explaining why my boys are present today. Oh, I just love being able to teach my children God’s Word. Seeing the planted seeds blooms delights me.
