There is nothing better than savoring one of your favorite pumpkin chili recipes on an Autumn evening.

Don’t worry about if your family doesn’t love my pumpkin, they will never know. I have been making this pumpkin chili for years and my husband who detests anything pumpkin adores this chili.

Shh, don’t tell him!

How to Make Pumpkin Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lb of ground beef, browned
  • 1 onion. chopped
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 T garlic, minced
  • 2 T cumin
  • 2 T chili powder
  • 2 t oregano
  • 2  15 oz cans of pumpkin
  • 2 15 oz cans of red kidneys beans, drained
  • 2 15 oz cans of black beans, drained
  • 3 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 c of water
  • Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • Sour Cream (optional)
  • cilantro, chopped (optional

Directions

Throw all the ingredients in slow cooker except for cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cilantro. Mix well. Cook on high for 4 hours of low for 6 hours. Serve with cheddar cheese, dollop of sour cream, and cilantro on top of chili. 

I always serve chili with either tortilla chips or cornbread.

Super easy, huh?

The pumpkin gives just a hint of sweetness, but you would never know it’s in there. Your secret is safe with me.
