The boys departed yesterday from our home for a week.
It seems like yesterday, I was potty training these boys and now they are spreading the Gospel to the lost in Austin, Texas.
It was hard to let them go!
BUT,
They are not mine; They are His!

How old are your boys? Mine are yet to leave home, maybe next year they can join the mission team as my eldest has just started high school.
My oldest boys are 15 and 14.

Wow, must be tough letting them go. My boys are only 1 & 3, so I’ve got a few more years to get used to the idea…
Looking at those boys I think they may get a kick out of the video I have for Wordless Wednesday! It is by a couple of farm boys in Kansas. The speed with which kids grow is unbelievable!
It is so hard to let your children go, but being a great parent ensures they’ll be ok 😉

My daughter went to India when she was 16. It wasn’t easy, but I was so glad she was serving the Lord!!
Our kids are still young (our oldest of 3 is only 6), so I haven’t experienced it yet, but you’re right, they are His, and He will take care of them! We live at Ft Hood, TX, just up the highway from Austin! 🙂

oh yes, time flies so quickly and it is hard to let go. but at the same time, how wonderful when our children want to go on mission!

That’s about how I look with my boys too. They do grow up so fast!
I actualy didn’t feel too bad until I watched Toy Story 3~ It reminded me of my son and him leaving for college and it triggered a tear or two. I see him often enough though that it’s not like he is gone for a long time. I miss him, but know he needs his space too…so that makes me happy to know he is doing what is best for himself.
That’s wonderful that they’ve grown up to be such strong young men. You’ve done a great job with them. Mine are too young but time is flying – I know that!
