Introducing Children to Shakespeare

Did you know that April 23rd is Talk Like Shakespeare Day?

As a former theatre major, I adore all things Bard of Avon. In fact, I was once in a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream that was set to music from the Beatles and entitled, A Midsummer Night’s Magical Mystery Dream. When I discovered this obscure holiday, I just had to take advantage of it and compile a list of Shakespearean themed resources that are great for introducing children to his works.

Since my own children are rather young, most of these will be geared for students under the age of ten.
