I found this incredible Human Body FREE homeschool science curriculum over at Guest Hollow.  She includes detailed lesson plans and uses a hand on approach with Living Books.  This is our “ideal” curriculum.  And I love the price!  FREE!

There are actually 3 different curriculum’s for different ages in PDF form.  What makes this so perfect is that all your children can study the same topics at the same time, but on different levels. Makes it easy for mommy!  On Guest Hollow’s website it reads..

Otter’s Science Curriculum: The Human Body This curriculum was created for Otter himself and is is designed for 2nd – 6th graders, although a student up to 8th grade would still be learning plenty of material (in my opinion), especially if you do all of the activities in the Blood and Guts book. This version of our program has a printable 88 page PDF guide, as well as an editable Word document so you can tweak to your heart’s content. We also feature it online, with a week-by-week format.

Little Otter’s Homeschool Science Curriculum– I got a request to make a youger kid’s version, so here it is. Little Otter’s Science is a gentle, literature based study with easy science explorations and hands on activities for the preschool through 1st grade crowd. You can also use the books in Little Otter’s Science to substitute for titles in the elementary curriculum for students on the younger age of the spectrum or for those with special needs. Otter will be using many of the Little Otter’s Science books as readers. You can choose from the two elementary programs to get the best fit.

Big Otter’s Homeschool Science Curriculum – This is a high school science curriculum I created for Bear, so he can study the same material as Otter, only at a more advanced level. This program is designed to be a self study addition to Otter’s elementary science with extra labs and the use of a high quality anatomy and physiology text. I’ve also included some fun books and DVD’s for the survival and first aid portion of the study.

Some of the recommended resources contain evolution, but Guest Hollow warns you ahead of time. You can view a few of them below.

Since I am convinced we can homeschool for almost FREE, I am sure you can get a few of these at the library or supplement with some other title.

Thank you Guest Hollow for blessing us!
