How to Create a Comfortable and Secure Environment for Students

Being a teacher, I’ve accumulated a running list of items that makes me OH SO very Happy! It’s the little things in life that melts a teacher’s heart.

It’s not having the coolest technology or the prettiest modern classroom that makes teachers oh so happy.

Okay, hold that thought.

I admit I wouldn’t complain if a stunning picture of my classroom went viral on Pinterest proving that I’m so darn creative and that I’ve mastered flexible seating.

But I honestly know that’s not realistic. Nor is it something that’s a priority to me.

Having the latest and greatest gadgets in the classroom doesn’t set the tone for the classroom, but having everyday supplies that children need and use on a daily basis is what makes students feel safe and secure in their environment.

It’s my number one priority as a teacher.

ALWAYS.

Every teacher wants and needs on their list of school supplies for the year are America’s #1 facial tissue brand – Kleenex® and an abundant supply of Viva® Towels.  I don’t believe any teacher on this planet has complained that they had too much Kleenex® and Viva® Towels.

We use these items daily. There has never been a year that I didn’t end up of purchasing these items on my own for my classroom towards the last quarter of the school year. I choose these specific brands because they are considered the best quality and ensures me that our classroom is prepared for messes and ALL the cold, flu and illness throughout the year.

Allergies are non-stop in Texas.

Are you one of these teachers too?

Since teachers immediately start thinking of the upcoming school year on the first full day of summer break, I came across a couple of items that make this teacher oh so very happy at Target.

Aren’t these Toy Story Kleenex® Facial Tissues the cutest?

They also look really cute in our powder room.
