History Games Come Alive
The boys and I have been learning so many facts the last month while playing the Box of I.D.E.As history games, WWII Pearl Harbor.
Each Box of IDEAS are super easy to transport anywhere creating learning opportunities on the go. Each box contains 10+ modules that include pertinent information, links, games and suggested exercises pertaining to the specific topic.
Box of I.D.E.As are recommended for ages 9 to 16. The boxes are designed to get the children off the computer and participate in hands on learning. However, each module does include suggested links for further study.
How It Worked For Us
My boys 14 and 15 absolutely had a ball with these history games. Each day they rotated choosing a module. We read over the lesson per se, viewed the links, and then they played the history games. My 14 year old is quite interested in aerodynamics and found the plane modules fascinating.
I appreciated the convenience of the modules that were all placed neatly in a bag with the instructions. We were able to just grab a module and a computer and hop on my bed at ease after lunch during quiet time.
I believe Box of I.D.E.As is a unique, FUN, and creative concept. I honestly think it’s fabulous! I wish I would have thought of it! However, I feel the product is somewhat overpriced, especially for homeschoolers.
You can purchase Box of Ideas:World War II on their Box of I.D.E.A.s website.
