{Hello! I’m Bridgette, from While On This Side. If you like food, keep reading!!}

Have you ever tried Ground Beef and Cabbage Soup?

When introducing myself, the first thing I generally tell people is, “Hi! My name is Bridgette. But you can call me BLT!”

Which is usually followed up with question, “BLT?”

Like baking, I’ve gotten the response down to a science, “B.L.T, in that order, are my initials. Yes, like the sandwich, but not because of the sandwich.”

Luckily, I do like my initials, and I do like BLT’s 🙂

Having such a one-on-one connection with food, it would only make sense that I share a recipe with you! (I promise though, it’s not a recipe for BLTs! )

Being a lover of all things related to food, I experiment with it a lot (ask me about my delicious, 7 ingredient, potato soup sometime). Through these experiments, I’ve come to conclude over the years – that the less ingredients – generally the better. My favorite recipes are those that can be made with 8-9 (or less) ingredients, and that includes the seasoning – such as salt & pepper.

One of my favorite kinds of recipes are soup recipes. For three reasons:

  • you can eat and drink out of the same container
  • it won’t go to waste – no matter how much you make
  • soups are (generally) super easy to make – no matter how much you make.

Today’s recipe is one of my favorite soup recipes. Ground Beef and Cabbage Soup. And it only calls for six ingredients & ten easy steps. Sometimes seven/eleven, if you are feeling spunky. SCORE.

In case anyone is wanting to try this recipe, I have decided to make easy printable cards (at the bottom of the page) for you (just click on the photos to enlarge them before you save/print them).
