Each year my dh and I recognize each one of our children with a certificate at the end of the school year.
We really want to stress righteous character traits in our children, as well as, academics. We recognize each child with an outstanding character trait and an academic subject that they have portrayed excellence throughout the school year. It always builds their self esteem when we recognize an area in which they improved in that was difficult for them.
We have a graduation/recognition night with our homeschool group, but it would be very easy to have a little end of the school year party with just your family. Invite the grandparents, too. My children love to show off their notebooks and their projects to others.
