So EASY Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

Spring is in full swing and it’s that time of year that our family loves to go to the park and have a simple picnic on the weekends. Also, it’s time for BBQ’s and fellowship outdoors. It’s not truly a fun time unless you have some tasty healthy treats, right?

PRI has an astonishing line-up of spring treats from New Zealand that the my gang fell in love with this month. I love PRI’s Manuka Honey, it’s really one of the tastiest and includes many health benefits.  I used Manuka Honey this past week in one of my favorite slow cooker honey garlic chicken recipe. You can view the recipe below. It was absolutely divine.

Manuka Honey is believed not only to treat minor burns and wounds, but it also does the following

  • Helps lower cholesterol
  • Helps reduce systemic inflammation
  • Helps treat diabetes
  • Helps reduce ear, eye and sinus infection symptoms
  • Helps reduce gastrointestinal problems

It’s known for no artificial flavors, no colors, no corn syrup or refined sugars and NO preservatives. Hydrogen peroxide is a major component of most raw honeys and is responsible for the antibiotic benefits most honeys provide. Most types of honey also have components with antibacterial qualities, but only Manuka Honey contains methylglyoxal (MG), one of the key UMF (Unique Manuka Factors) qualities. Indeed, the higher the concentration of MG, the more powerful the antibiotic effect, which is one reason honey producers have developed a scale for rating the UMF potency of Manuka Honey.

It’s pretty amazing.

My husband doesn’t need yummy treats to make it a memory as much as I do… it’s taken some getting used to! But he does use honey in his coffee (have you tried that?), so we’d both appreciate winning!
