Creamy Jalapeno Dip is one of my absolute favorite dips on this side of the planet. My husband has a rule that we must go to Mexican food after worship each Sunday. He’s convinced it must be in the Bible somewhere.

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants is Chuy’s because they have the most magnificent creamy jalapeno dip. I have no idea why you must request it to your server, but you do. They don’t bring it out automatically. It’s kinda like they are keeping it a secret or something.

This easy creamy jalapeno dip recipe tastes exactly like Chuy's. I'm in love!

Last week, my husband and I were sneaking away at lunch time for a hot date at Chuy’s. It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed munching away on chips, salsa, and creamy jalapeno dip outside on the patio.

I can’t remember if we had any margaritas or not. lol!

I decided that we needed to have creamy jalapeno dip in the convenience of our home when ever we wanted because it’s truly that amazing.

So, I did a little experimenting with a few ingredients and threw it in my beloved blender.

I scored!

It tasted exactly like Chuy’s creamy jalapeno dip.

How to Make Creamy Jalapeno Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 c of mayonnaise (I use the olive oil kind)
  • 1 c of sour cream (don’t use light or it will come out runny)
  • 3/4 c of pickled jalapenos
  • 1/2 c of cilantro, chopped
  • 4-5 T of dry ranch dressing mix
  • 2 T of fresh lime juice (I just used the juice of 1 lime)
  • salt to taste if needed

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in the blender except salt
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Stir mixture
  4. Blend for another minute
  5. Taste and add a bit of salt if needed
  6. Refrigerate for an hour
  7. Serve with tortilla chips or veggies

The dip is rather runny, so you can definitely use it as a salad dressing, too. I’ll be honest, I tend to add more cilantro than listed because I adore it, so adapt to your liking. If you are serving to the younger crowd, cut back on the pickled jalapenos.

This recipe makes a little over 2 cups. Store in refrigerator and it will last for a few days. I haven’t tried freezing it yet, but let us know if you had any success with freezing this creamy jalapeno dip.

I love to serve this with shredded chicken ranch tacos. My husband was a happy man last night. I chose to use lettuce instead of taco shells since I’m doing the 21 Day Fix food plan.
